How long will each session be?
Sessions start at the top of each hour and last 55 minutes. This leaves five minutes at the end for a transition or a quick update.
Do I need to stay with my child?
Parents or guardians should wait with their child until they are received by their teacher. Parents or guardians do not need to stay on property during sessions.
What will you work on with my child?
Your child's teacher will conduct an initial evaluation to determine appropriate starting points in their areas of need. Each session will be carefully planned to meet your child's current needs and help them reach their goals. Rest assured, every minute will be filled with motivating & compassionate instruction and coaching to help your child find confidence and independence!
Will there be homework?
Homework will be assigned as appropriate to support your learner in reaching their full potential.
How will my child’s progress be communicated?
Monthly progress updates will be shared. Informal check-ins and phone calls will take place as needed.
How long will my child need tutoring?
In every session we plan and implement, our primary goal is to get your child from their current level of independence, to the next level of independence. Although we have many years of experience successfully teaching children with vastly different learning profiles, we STILL cannot predict the future! We KNOW that if you've tried tutoring in the past, and it "didn't work," then you've come to the right place. We don't know how long it will take for your child to graduate from tutoring, but we do know that they will get there.
