What services are offered and who can benefit from them?
We specialize in working with children K-12 whose needs have not been met in a traditional classroom. We provide instruction in language processing, phonemic awareness, decoding, writing, comprehension, and executive functioning.
What will a tutoring session be like?
At Pine & Palm, one of our teaching philosophies is, “Seek first to understand.” Every child is unique, so your child’s goals and lessons are designed to support their unique needs.
While prioritizing holistic and neurodiversity-affirming practices, we utilize the research driven Orton-Gillingham program and Lindamood-Bell therapies. Both programs follow an explicit, structured, and multisensory approach to reading, comprehending and writing. Following our initial assessment, lessons will be designed to meet the individual learning needs of each child. Sessions will be conducted in a one-to-one, in-person, or virtual setting.
