We specialize in working with children K-12 whose needs have not been met in a traditional classroom. We provide instruction in language processing, phonemic awareness, decoding, writing, comprehension, and strengthening executive functioning skills.
What will a tutoring session be like?
At Pine & Palm, we believe in “seeking first to understand.” Every child is unique, so we tailor goals and lessons to their needs.
Rooted in holistic, neurodiversity-affirming practices, we use the research-backed Orton-Gillingham program, Lindamood-Bell cognitive processes, and Tera Sumpter's executive function methodologies. This structured, multisensory approach supports reading, comprehension, and writing. After an initial assessment, we design personalized lessons delivered one-on-one, either in person or virtually.
